BOSTON MEDICAL CENTER SMILES FOR CHILDREN
is a nonprofit organization
We are a team of specialized doctors,
nurses and anesthesiologists who provide charitable surgical
care for under privileged children in the Ukraine. These
children suffer from cleft palates, cleft lips, and other
various craniofacial deformities. Many of the children are
housed in multiple orphanages throughout the country and very
few have family support. The team has laid a foundation for
early treatment of affected children as they are now operated on
within months of birth. This has significant psychological and
functional benefits for the children and allows for optimal
growth and development.
